My name is Angeliki Alexaki, I come from Athens and I am the mother of two grown children, aged 43 and 40. Learning and giving are important values in my life. From a young age, I sought to work in spaces where I could apply these values. The diversity of my professional activities offered me experiences both as a secretary in private businesses of a different nature and as a store manager in a jewelry store.

Throughout my life, I felt and still feel that, while we are all different, what we have in common is the child we hide inside. This child carries all the important and quality elements of life. We have to take care of it, because it will be there forever. My inner search and love for this child led me to constantly learn how we can reach him. Apart from my personal occupation, through reading books and attending seminars, I have always participated in activities related to children. Thus, during my children’s schooling, I participated as president and member of the parents’ association, taking part in environmental activities.
Today, to my great joy, Maria Montessori’s teaching method led me to the “Montessori way of life”. I have been working for two years as a school attendant. My priority is the safety of the children and their mental health. Every day is different, but always beautiful, hearing their good morning!

I love to develop, and for this reason I have attended training seminars organized by our school. Specifically:

The “Touch and Boundaries” seminar, which is about sex education and the prevention of sexual abuse.
The lecture “The needs and characteristics of the 6-12 year old child” by MSC consulting psychologist and Montessori educator Mary Perri, with an emphasis on the outline of the child through the perspective of Maria Montessori.
Meetings of educators and parents, with the aim of transmitting the philosophy of the school, understanding the way of work and strengthening the love for the work of educators.
First aid seminar, which our school organizes in an experiential way, so that we are ready in case of need. I have also received a certificate of first aid attendance from the Hellenic Red Cross.

In my personal life, I love and engage in wood carving as well as outdoor activities.
