Flamiato Sunday

I was born in Cholargos, Attica in 1993.

I graduated from the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE), from the department of economics in 2015. In the same year, my first meaningful contact with children began at the Network for the Rights of the Child (NGO) where I did my internship, worked for a while and am still involved as a volunteer. In this non-profit organization, I met and learned many things about the child and his needs.

So I continued to look for something that would spark my interest and I would like to train on it, as dealing with children for me, was something that was of great interest to me. So I decided, initially, to attend the assistants’ seminar for children aged 3-6, through which I got to know the magical world of the child better, through Maria Montessori’s approach.

Having tried repeatedly to find ways in which I too could join the field of education, I always felt that something in each approach did not represent me and so I did not systematically try. This two-month contact with the Montessori approach was enough to make me decide to leave my current path, completely change my professional career and deal with pedagogy. Starting in 2022 the great education at the Montessori institute, everything I had thought was confirmed, and in combination with my success in the qualifying exams in 2023, in the Department of Education and Early Childhood Education, a new, very interesting and beautiful journey has begun for me.
