My name is Eleftheria Apostolou, and I am a graduate of the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Crete, from which I graduated in 2020. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in experiential learning and in the creation of educational environments that respect the needs and uniqueness of each child.
In 2018, I participated in an internship at the Visual Arts Workshops of Rethymno, contributing to the implementation of museum education programs at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete. In 2021, I completed the full Messy Play training provided by Hehe, Art, Play & Therapy, enriching my knowledge of creative expression, play, and the importance of sensory experiences in early childhood.
In 2023, I completed the Interdepartmental Master’s Program “Education for Sustainability – Educational Sciences” at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. After obtaining my master’s degree, I chose to move to Spain in order to become familiar with the educational system of another European country. Within this framework, I completed an Erasmus+ internship at Madrid Active School in Madrid. From September 2024 to June 2025, I worked as a Montessori English Assistant in the Children’s House (ages 3–6) at the Granada International Montessori School in Granada.
Through this experience, I came into meaningful and in-depth contact with the Montessori educational approach, which I greatly value, as I was inspired by its strong emphasis on the child’s needs, the supportive and prepared environment, and the high-quality stimuli that foster psychosocial and emotional development.
In August 2025, I completed the Orientation Course in Montessori Education for children aged 3–6 at the Sydney Montessori Training Center (Australia), recognized by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). In addition, on 29–30 November 2025, I attended the seminar entitled “Psychosensory Education and the Development of Intelligence”, organized by the Montessori Institute of Athens, with Louise Livingston as the presenter.
