In 1998 I got my degree from the Department of Childcare – Infant Caregivers of the “Andreas Syggros” Youth Education Association S.E..N.
In 2000 I started working at the “Maria Goudeli Montessori School of Athens”, the first Montessori kindergarten established in Greece – where I stayed for 16 years.
During this period of time, I came in contact with and fell in love with the pedagogy of Maria Montessori, discovering how fundamentally she understands and respects the child’s developmental needs and how important areas such as the child’s environment, stimuli and mental health are. play an important role in a child’s development.
So, I started in 2000 and obtained a certificate of studies in Speech Therapy from the “BENEFIT Career Studies-Laboratory of Liberal Studies”.
In 2004 I obtained the degree of Education in the Montessori pedagogical approach for children aged 3-6 years from the Montessori laboratory in collaboration with Montessori Internationale (AMI).
In the same year, I became the mother of a boy who attended a Montessori elementary school.
At the same time, in 2010 I attended and obtained a degree in Counseling and psychotherapy from the “Applied psychotherapy & counseling center – Lifelong Learning Center”, certified by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Professional Orientation of the Ministry of Education and Religion (Applied psychotherapy & counseling center).
In 2014, I participated in the “Educational Program for Educators-Coordinators of Parents School Groups” with the subject of the Evolutionary System of Maria Khourdakis (Federation Internationale pour l’Education des Parents – F.I.E.P.).
Finally, in 2016 I studied in the lifelong learning program of the University of the Aegean in collaboration with the Athens General Hospital Sotiria, Mental Health Center and the SOS Children’s Villages, on the subject of “child psychology – child psychiatry”.
I have attended a series of seminars and educational programs, such as Parent Counseling at the “Center for Applied Psychotherapy and Counseling”, “First Aid” at the Red Cross, “Loss and Bereavement in the Life of a Child” from MERIMNA, etc.
Through my many years of experience in the Montessori method (Montessori approach), I realized the magnitude of the offer of this system and the positive influences it has on children with special needs. So I decided to continue enriching my knowledge in this, attending the annual “Special Education” training of the University of the Aegean.
