Why is a meaningful environment important?

The first years of life are the foundation for the formation of the child's personality, behavior and cognitive abilities.

A meaningful, purposeful environment does not simply fill the child's time with activities, but offers experiences that:

Strengthen concentration and self-discipline
Develop emotional maturity and social empathy
Cultivate curiosity, independence and initiative
Boost the joy of learning through play and action

Busy for the sake of busy is not enough. The child needs space to flourish, explore, connect with real stimuli and people who respect their needs.

Sofia Tzivelou

Certified Montessori Educator

My name is Sofia Tzivelou and I will have the pleasure of welcoming you to our afternoon Montessori program.

I am an educator specialized in the Montessori method and for over 25 years I have been accompanying young children and their families in their first steps within environments of respect, freedom and development.

I deeply believe that every child has within them a natural tendency to learn – and when placed in the right environment, they flourish at their own unique pace. In our program I will be by your side to support not only your child, but also you, with ideas, guidance and a warm presence.

I look forward to meeting you in person!

What they said about us

"We were fortunate that our little one attended the infant section classes for 1 year. What struck me was how eagerly he looked forward to each session. He was given the opportunity to discover his abilities and experiment in an environment different from home – one that offered him both freedom and safety, and above all an environment made to his measure. Also, his exposure to the way a Montessori class works and flows made his adjustment to kindergarten very easy and quick."

"Kallisti joined the infant section and was transformed! From the very first sessions, she began to trust herself and gain confidence and autonomy. Although our observation helped us learn a lot about the Montessori philosophy and follow her progress closely, we could not believe how quickly she acquired skills. But the most important thing she gained from this school was the best first school experience that follows her and will follow her for all her school years."
